Welcome to the Sea Bird Adventure
The Sea Bird is a former navel vessel converted into a commercial fishing ship. Recently under new ownership, the Sea Bird is taking new direction in the world of commercial fishing. It is our goal to pioneer the way to conversion of fishing vessels from polluting diesel engines to clean energy. Ships such as the Sea Bird can burn more than 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel per day, spewing tons of green house gases into the atmosphere per year. By using proven new technology, such as clean waste-oil burning engines, emissions can be greatly reduced. Using experimental technology such as pulse detonation engines and Tesla turbines, emissions could be reduced to almost nothing. Ultimately the propulsion techniques we are working to implement on the Sea Bird could be used by not just fishing vessels, but large sea fairing vessels of all types.
We intend to fund the Sea Bird upgrades in a variety of ways and are exploring sponsorships, investments, private donations, adventure and fishing expeditions and possible government grants. If you would like to stay informed about the progress of the Sea Bird, please signup to become a member. We'll keep you informed of Sea Bird news and any opportunities that arise.
There is also a non-profit side of the Sea Bird. In addition to fishing and clean energy, we are also hoping to educate and help others in need while having a good time and great adventure. After the conversion to clean propulsion is made, we intend to tour CA and potentially the world. In our travels we will educate people on our clean engine technology and have demonstrations. We also wish to research sustainable fishing practices and explore charitable ways of helping others. For more information on the nonprofit side of the Sea Bird click here.
